In remembrance of the fifty six people who were killed at this station during the Blitz on the night of 11th January 1941.

Mike Ashworth of TfL kindly notified us that this Blitz plaque had been unveiled. It's one of a set of 5, all listed at Balham Station.
These two plaques are located at the Central line ticket hall, between exits 7 and 8, the nearest entrance from the street being the one at the junction of Walbrook and Queen Victoria Street.
