St. Peter's Church, Vere Street, was designed by James Gibbs, built by Edward Harley 2nd Earl of Oxford and opened in 1724 as Marylebone Chapel. In 1952 it became a chapel of ease, attached to All Souls Church Langham Place, and in 1983 the home of The Institute for Contemporary Christianity.
