The image of this lost plaque comes from Wikipedia, where the story of this plaque on 41 Maitland Park Road is told. First erected on 22 February 1935, it was vandalised by Fascist supporters, replaced once, vandalised a second time and not replaced. The house was demolished in the 1950s. The image is based on a monochrome line drawing from "Indication of Houses of Historical Interest in London - Volume VI" published by the London County Council in 1938.

NW3, Maitland Park Road

Marx lived at no 41 but this whole area has been redeveloped since Marx's time. And no, we have no idea what the strange pillar object is in the photograph.
