Bob Speel informs that this roundel was designed by Lethaby and modelled by Thornycroft.
SW1, Victoria Embankment, Scotland Yard
This pair of buildings, built 1887 - 1906, were designed by Shaw for the Metropolitan Police who had outgrown their Whitehall premises. They moved out in 1967 to new offices in St James's.
The roundel is on the northern building, the first completed.
