Paul Mervyn Pascall

Inscription

To the glory of God and in memory of Paul Mervyn Pascall M.C., King's African Rifles, who gave his life in East Africa, Jan 13 1918, in the Great War. God so loved the world.

The last digit of the year is difficult to decipher, but we've plumped for 1918 being the year. The cross is planted in a heap of stones, one of which has the engraving.

Very sad - a stump of a memorial that is also weathered into illegibility.
