Musician. Born Alexis Andrew Nicholas Koerner in Paris. His family moved to Britain at the outbreak of WW2. He played with various bands and in 1961 formed 'Blues Incorporated' with harmonica player Cyril Davies, earning him the sobriquet 'Founding Father of British Blues'. In later years he became a television presenter. Died in the Westminster Hospital.
