3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters)

Categories: Armed Forces

On 23 July 1901, the 3rd County of London Imperial Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) was formed and on 1 April 1908, the regiment was renamed as the 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) and transferred to the Territorial Force.

The regiment's Wikipedia page shows its formation and the various amalgamations that have subsequently followed and this is further explained in the Stepping Forward London website.

On the London Troops War Memorial, Threadneedle Street, London, EC2, it is shown as the 3rd County of London (Sharpshooters).
