Fictional detective. Created by Margery Allingham. He first appeared in 'The Crime at Black Dudley'. Eight of the subsequent novels featuring him were adapted by the BBC in 1989/90 with Peter Davison playing the lead,(although the video cover in the picture calls him Davidson).
