Public House in Beckenham, Kent. David Bowie performed here in the early days of his career. It was renamed as the 'Rat and Parrot' in the late 1990s. It later returned to its original name, shortly before being converted into Zizzi's Restaurant. The photograph shows the original Bowie plaque.

Businessman. Developed the McDonald's hamburger brand.
Established in the medieval period and referenced by Shakespeare in 'Henry VI' and by Dickens in 'Pickwick Papers'. Not to be confused with the nearby White Hart at 22 Great Suffolk Street.
In the late 1500s plays were performed in the inn-yard. The Inn was destroyed in the Great Fire.
