Architect. Born in Paisley. His works include: Selfridges in Oxford Street, Daily Telegraph office in Fleet Street, Unilever House in Blackfriars and Sydney Harbour Bridge. His own house also got a revamp with Art Deco chimneys and extension. A partner in Burnet, Tait and Lorne.

Thomas Smith Tait
Master Carpenter. Designed the Ripley block of the present Admiralty building in 1726.
A road and footbridge over the River Thames between the town of Marlow and the village of Bisham. Designed by William Tierney Clark, it is a Grade I listed building.
Architects. Later Vernon Helbing joined the firm. Sir Herbert Baker was one of the four principal architects of the Imperial War Graves Commission, See Blomfield for the others.
