Guy's & St Thomas' Charities Foundation

Categories: Medicine, Philanthropy

It can trace its origins back to 1553, when King Edward VI re-established St Thomas' hospital, having been closed during the Reformation. In 1721, Thomas Guy funded the building of the hospital which now bears his name. Foundation trust status was achieved in 2004.
