She had three siblings, Raffaela James Acampora , Clara Winifred Acampora and Luigi Charles Acampora and the family lived at 30 Grundy Street, Poplar. Her father was a Hotel - Coffee Man according to the 1911 census.

She was one of 18 children killed when a bomb fell through the roof of her school in Upper North Street, Poplar. She was buried in St Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Leytonstone, one of the three children that were not buried in the mass grave that was provided for the victims. Her parents survived her, her father passing away in March 1953 and her mother in February 1958. FindaGrave has an image of her grave.
