Roger John Lawrence Bramble

Roger John Lawrence Bramble was born on 3 April 1932 according to the London Wiki website.

In 1968 he was first elected as a councillor as a Conservative Party member onto the Westminster City Council, standing in the Regents Park ward and was re-elected in that ward on seven consecutive elections, the final one being held in 1994. He did not stand for re-election in 1998, but had served as the Lord Mayor of Westminster for the year 1985-1986.

The London Gazette dated 12 March 1999 shows that on 10 March 1999 in the Privy Council, Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, appointed him as the High Sheriff of Greater London for the year.

The Companies House website shows that (in 2024) he had held 37 appointments in various organisations.

Our image from the Seven Dials Trust website shows him as 'Lord Mayor of Westminster, Cllr Roger Bramble with Nica Burns, Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse Theatre'.

He is shown as 'the Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Westminster Councillor Roger Bramble' on the memorial plaque beside the Chinese Lions sculpture in Gerard Street, London, W1.
