Khadija's garden

Inscription

Khadija's Garden
This bed of planting commemorates Khadija Saye, who was tragically killed in the Grenfell Tower fire on 14 June 2017. Khadija worked at PEER in 2015/16 and played a significant role in creation of this public space with new trees, paving, seating and planting. She also took part in the commissioning process for the two landmark features - the pedestal clock with the artwork 'Black Hands' by Chris Ofili, and the sculptural installation 'Spontaneous City: Hoxton', by London Fieldworks.
