Erected by the citizens of Camberwell in memory of twenty-two fellow-citizens who were killed by German air raiders in the Great War 1914 - 1918.

Following a 2016 campaign another memorial was erected nearby to commemorate all those Camberwell citizens lost in WW1.

SE5, Albany Road

The plaque was placed on the corner of Calmington Road and Albany Road. It was lost when the area was transformed into Burgess Park. Calmington Road no longer exists but our page for Burgess Park has a map showing the old street layout, before the Park was created. This corner can be seen on that map, upper centre.
