Site: Bob Marley - SW3 (1 memorial)

SW3, Oakley Street, 42

Marley lived here with his band, the Wailers, and they would cross Albert Bridge to play football in Battersea Park.

The Telegraph reported that "... in March 1977, Marley was arrested for possession of cannabis and gave his address as 27 Collingham Gardens, Kensington - where his backing singers were staying – in an apparent bid to prevent the police from searching Oakley Street for drugs."
