The small blue plaque is to the left of the ground floor window.
We note that the plaque, twice refers to 'Angel', not 'the Angel', and realise that we are not sure which usage is correct.
This portion of the building was destroyed by German bombing on the night of 27th September 1940, restored in 1948.
