This building housed the offices of Charles Dickens' magazine 'All the Year Round' and his private apartments, 1859 - 1870.
The plaque is at the far end of the school bike park and playground, which is why our picture is not as sharp as we would like.
We think this may have been the sign giving the name of a ward at the hospital. It would fit in a fan-light above a door very nicely.
