David Bowie mural

Erection date: 19/6/2013

Site: David Bowie mural (1 memorial)

SW9, Tunstall Road

This mural is reasonably close to Bowie's birthplace, Stansfield Road.  In Summer 2015 this whole wall, including the mural, was covered with advertising as part of a promotion by Propercorn.  A Twitter storm ensured that the mural was quickly uncovered and restored.

This shrine prompted The Great Wen to repost their excellent piece on London shrines.
