Site: Emmeline and Christabel Pankhurst - Holland Park (1 memorial)

W11, Clarendon Road, 50

Emmeline set up home here from 1916 and stayed for about 3 years.

From Culture24 "When the First World War started the Suffragettes declared a truce and Emmeline Pankhurst adopted four ‘war babies’, children born out of wedlock, which she raised in her rented home at Clarendon Road. She later opened a nursery and adoption home for female orphans in nearby Aubrey Road."  The Museum of London has a photo of Emmeline and the babies.
