Site of the Adelphi Theatre Restaurant owned by the Swiss-Italian Gatti family, restaurateurs, music hall, theatre and electricity supply entrepreneurs. Sir John Gatti served as Lord Mayor of Westminster, 1911-12.

Yes, that man does have the dog on a lead and does set off down the Strand with the dog running happily alongside. This was Christmas Day 2014, so very little traffic, which was why we were there - on normal days the buses make this an impossible building to photo.
