Hugo Wood keystone

Inscription

{The base of the bow window above carries the ornate lettering:}
Hugo Wood Principali

But who is he? Is this his portrait? He looks rather wild. We can't identify him.

Site: Bennet Woodcroft & Hugo Wood (2 memorials)

WC2, Southampton Buildings, Old Patent Office

Damaged in WW2 this building was restored in 2007 to the original design for the facade overlooking Staple Inn garden, at least. We know all this because the wonderful Ornamental Passions tells us. The new structure incorporates two little memorials in the form of portrait keystones.
