This town is the birthplace of Shyamji Krishna Varma, who founded India House.

This is a life-size replica of the original India House in Highgate. It may seem like a miniature but look closely, there's someone at the door. Created as a memorial to the original house and the organisation that operated from that building in the early 1900s.
