Inscription

Aesculus Indica (Indian Horse Chestnut) planted by Hugh Jenkins, MP, Minister for the Arts, on 17th May 1974, in memory of Lilian Baylis C.H. (1874 - 1937).
This stone was placed here by the Vic-Wells Association on the 25th November 1987, the fiftieth anniversary of her death.
