Plaque

(relocated) Middlesex Hospital - Broderip Ward - gone

Erection date: 9/4/1987

Inscription

{Beneath the coat of arms of the Middlesex Hospital:}
This plaque was unveiled on 9 April 1987 by Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales to mark the opening of Broderip Ward as a unit for the care of people with HIV infection.

Site: Middlesex Hospital - Broderip Ward - gone (1 memorial)

W1, Mortimer Street

The Middlesex Hospital closed and was demolished in 2008. We cannot trace what has happened to any of its memorabilia, but believe that the Wellcome Institute may have retrieved some of them, so we have marked the plaque as relocated rather than lost.
