Site: Richard Everitt memorial - lost (1 memorial)

NW1, Brill Place, Purchese Street Open Space

Richard was 15 when he was stabbed to death, an innocent victim of the local racist gang wars. The murder took place "close to the park" and we guess that this memorial has been placed close to where the murder took place.

2024: from the CNJ we learnt that this memorial was "neglected and later damaged by the council after it was moved into storage during a regeneration project in Somers Town." Actually a tower block, Grand Central Apartments, was built on the garden. A replacement is planned to be unveiled on 13 August 2024, 30 years after the murder.
