Above the entrance on the left "Public Library" and in the stone decorations: "1908" and "HBC" for Holborn Borough Council.  Details on the building.  Shakespeare's bust is on the base of the first floor bow window to the left.  The entrance to the right takes you into the lobby where the two plaques are to be found.
