{On the stone surround to the pool:}
In memory of Sigismund Christian Hubert Goetze, 1866 - 1939, painter, lover of the arts and benefactor of this park.

Donated in 1950. The surrounding terrace layout was designed by Goetze in collaboration with Duncan Campbell in 1938.
Sculptor: William McMillan.
