William Ranwell, 1797 - 1861, artist, military drawing master, lived here. 1849 - 1861.
We have found that the plaque was unveiled by the Mayor of Greenwich, but there is no indication that Greenwich Council actually erected it.

The address of the house was 8 Beresford Terrace when Ranwell lived there.
