Formerly part of Kent, it has been part of Greater London since 1963.
This is the foundation stone of the 1928 Lloyd's building.
The 'plaque' is to the right of the circular 'City Heritage Award' plaque.
The brown plaque is inside the hotel lobby. Don’t be put off by the doorman – he watched our bike for us while we popped in for the photo.
Greater London Council Sir Charles Eastlake, 1793 - 1865, painter and first director of the National Gallery, lived here.
