Site: Leicester Square Station control room (1 memorial)
WC2, Leicester Square Underground Station, Control Room
In our photo the plaque can be seen, halfway down, to the right of the door. It's easily missed and we only discovered it through the very informative Stationmaster app.
This control room was not the first: London Transport Museum hold "Diary /log book from first Leicester Square station control room. Records daily operations from opening, in February 1935". The Museum also has a photo of "Control desk; from Leicester Square control room, used 1939 - 1979". And the BBC have a photo of a modern control room, at Victoria Station.
