Hackney's 2012 Management Plan for Clissold Park refers to these two new ornamental bridges, and describes the image on the plaque as the seal of the New River Company. In 2013 the New River celebrated its 400th anniversary and we think these bridges were part of that. We've found this exact image in N1. This section of the River no longer flows and is now really a pond.
