The 48th regiment was an armoured division of the British army. It was originally formed as a duplicate of the 42nd Royal Tank Regiment.
In 1943, during engagements before the Battle of Longstop Hill in Tunisia, it disabled a German Tiger 1 tank which was sent back to the UK. It is currently the only operating Tiger tank in the world.

Co-partner or employee of the South Suburban Gas Company. Served but did not die in WW1.
Had served in the Irish Guards. At the time of his death was an in-pensioner at Chelsea Hospital and a patient in the Infirmary.
On July 27th, 1942, a Belgian Troop (N° 4) was created within the 10th (Inter-Allied) Commando in Great Britain. They fought in Algeria, Italy and Yugoslavia.
