Former cavalry regiment, officially the Sixth Dragoon Guards. They participated in putting down the rebellion of Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1745-46 and fought in the Peninsular, Crimean and Boer Wars and World War I. In 1922 they were amalgamated with the 3rd Dragoon Guards (Prince of Wales), and were designated the 3rd/6th Dragoon Guards.

Men and women of Middle East Air Force Command who lost their lives in the Suez Canal Zone, 1945 -1956, and especially for those who have no known grave.
Had served in the Yorks & Lancaster Regiment. At the time of his death was an in-pensioner at Chelsea Hospital. Killed in a bomb attack on the north east wing of the Hospital.
