Frederick Neuner

Alderman and Councillor 1952 - 1982, London Boroughs of Hornsey and Haringey, Mayor of the London Borough of Haringey, 1979 - 1980. Campaigner for the elderly, disabled and children, he dedicated his life to the people of Haringey and to international friendship. From 13 March 1991 until his death on 25 February 1995 he was a director of Age Concern Haringey that subsequently was called Age UK Haringey.

Frederick Neuner was born on 30 April 1919. He married Elsie Rumsey (1922-1973) in the 2nd quarter of 1944 in the Kensington registration district and electoral registers in 1948 and 1949 show them listed at 90 Elgin Crescent, Notting Hill, London, W11. From 1950 to 1956 they were at 90 Nelson Road, Hornsey, London, N8 and from 1957 at 59 Creighton Avenue, Muswell Hill, London, N10.

His wife's death was registered in the 4th quarter of 1973 in the St Pancras registration district and in the 1st quarter of 1975 he married Mary Kathleen Morfill (1919-2007) in the Haringey registration district. They continued to live at 59 Creighton Avenue, Muswell Hill until his death, aged 75 years, was registered in February 1995 in the Islington registration district.
