Great-grandson of Oliver Cromwell. From 'The House of Cromwell': "... for some time in partnership with his brother Thomas as a wholesale provision merchant, though he subsequently held a post in the Excise Office. He died unmarried in 1769, and was buried in Bunhill Fields, in the vault of his brother Thomas.” It's not clear whether this was the same family vault as that where the other brothers Richard and William, were buried.
