Businesswoman and record company director. Born London. married music producer Trevor Horn in 1980 and they had 4 children. She has been called 'one of the most successful people in the British music business'. One of the founders of Sarm East recording studios which attracted artists such as Queen, The Clash and Madonna.
On 25 June 2006, she was accidentally shot in the neck by her adult son, Aaron, who was practising with his air rifle. This severed an artery and caused irreversible brain damage. She spent most of her remaining years in a coma.
The Basing Street Studios plaque was unveiled in 2019 in memory of Sinclair by her husband, Horn.
