John Dryden

Poet and playwright. Born in Aldwincle, Northamptonshire. The first Poet Laureate. Died in London. Initially buried in St Anne's Church, Soho but quickly reburied in Chaucer's grave in Westminster Abbey. See the plaque 'John Dryden attacked' for the story.
