Lonsdale Belt

Categories: Sport / Games

A boxing prize introduced by Hugh Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale, to be awarded to British boxing champions. A boxer has successfully to defend his title twice before he can retain it. We have found several different pictures of the belt, so can only assume that its design has varied over the years. Our picture shows one of the more attractive versions.
