Mary Bradshaw

Born as Mary Marbury. Married John Bradshaw in 1638. He was President of the High Court of Justice for the trial of King Charles I. John died 31 October 1659 and was buried with honours in Westminster Abbey. The restored Charles II ordered that the bodies of Bradshaw, Cromwell and Henry Ireton be exhumed, displayed and beheaded (see Cromwell for more details). And ordered that their supporters, including Mary, be exhumed and reburied in an unmarked pit in St Margaret's churchyard, Westminster.
