Myra Josephine Royal was born on 20 December 1958 in the Dominican Republic and grew up in Houston, Texas, USA. She was a daughter of Boswell and Eloise Royal.
Our Picture Source and the Clipper Crew website gives more information about her including that she started working for Pan American World Airways on 2 March 1988. She was residing in Hanwell, London, when she died, aged 30 years, on 21 December 1988 as a flight attendant aboard Pan AM Flight 103 travelling from London (Heathrow) Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York City, when it exploded over Lockerbie, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
She was buried in Section 400 East, North side, Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery,12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, Harris County, Texas.
She is also commemorated on both the Memorial to all the Victims and the World Wings International plaque that are at Dryfesdale Cemetery, Dumfries Road, Lockerbie, DG11 1HZ, as well as on the memorial cairn in Arlington National Cemetery, 1 Memorial Avenue, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA.
