Flight Sergeant Richard Lear Alexander was born on 22 July 1914 in Yellowhead, Kankakee, Illinois, USA, the son of Harry William Alexander (1892-1945) and Ada H. Alexander née Zimmerman (1896-1977).

He enlisted in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve and served as a Flight Sergeant in their No.133 Squadron. His Wikipedia page gives much information this man.

He died, aged 78 years, on 19 April 1993 in Urbana, Champaign County, Illinois, USA and is buried in Brenton Cemetery, Piper City, Ford County, Illinois, USA.
