Rifleman Thomas Albert Henn.        Born in 1876 in Penge, Kent. He married Alice Maud Slaughter on the 12th April 1903 at Christ Church, Notting Hill, London and was living at 19 Swinbrook Road. North Kensington. His occupation was a Carman. In April 1911 they were living at 44 Enbrook Street, Queens Park, London. In September 1911 he was appointed as a Postman in Paddington transferring to the Western District Office in May 1912 and re-graded there as a Porter. He joined the 5th Battalion London Regiment (London Rifle Brigade), service number 45339 and said that he had previously served in the West Riding Regiment, service number 29529. He died on the 27th October 1918, aged 42 years, and is buried in plot: Div 62. II. I. 6. in the Sainte Marie Cemetery, Le Harve, France. He was posthumously awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. Probate was granted to his widow who was living at 39 Lancefield Road, North Kensington. Effects £146.
