Thomas Haynes Parker

Thomas Haynes Parker

Churchwarden in Clerkenwell in 1845. Insurance papers for 1835 list a Thomas Haynes Parker at 25 Winyatt Street, Goswell Street, "paper stainer". By 1836 he has become "gent" with another property at 70 Britannia Terrace, City Road.

We are grateful to Andrew Behan for adding the following:
Parker was born about 1801 in Bristol. He married a Louisa Watkins on 19 March 1820 in St Mary's Church, Whitechapel. The 1861 census shows him living at 332 Marylebone Road with a daughter and two sons. He was by then a widower and gave his occupation as a Paper Stainer. He died on 21 February 1866, aged 65 years, at 3 Western Villas, Ealing, although his main residence was still 332 Marylebone Road. In his will he gave his occupation as Paperhanger and Decorator. His effects totalled under £200.
