Architect. From University of London and the World of Learning, 1836-1986 By F. M. L. Thompson : "The University Architect as this point was William J. Walford, a shadowy figure chosen inexplicably in preference to Sir Aston Webb."

Other work includes The York Clinic at Guys. From Historic Hospitals    "... during the Second War the York Clinic was built for psychological medicine. The clinic was designed by William Walford and J. Murray Easton and was the first of its kind to be built as part of a general hospital." Research Gate have a 1955 photo of the 1944 clinic.
