Weightlifter. Born in either Prokopyevsk, Russia or Poland, he moved to Israel in 1960. He began his career as a gymnast, but switched direction and won a bronze medal at the 1971 Asian Weightlifting Championships. He was one of eleven Israeli athletes murdered by Palestinian terrorists during the 1972 Munich Olympic Games.
