Innholders' Hall - 1

Inscription

This hall was rebuilt 1668 - 1674 after the Great Fire, damaged in World War 1914 - 1919, severely damaged in World War 1939 - 1945. It was fully restored in 1950.

This overtly modern facade is shown on the English Heritage map as part of the Scheduled Ancient Monument which includes the more traditional building to the left.  Perhaps the building behind survived WW2 in a way that the elevation didn't.
