Lilian Lindsay, 1871 - 1960, the first woman dentist to qualify in Britain, lived here.
English Heritage
This plaque was first erected on Lindsay's childhood home in Holloway, but when that was illegally demolished another home (Lindsay's and the plaque's) was found.
Site: Lilian Lindsay - WC1 (1 memorial)
WC1, Russell Square, 23
This memorial was moved here from its previous location.
The British Dental Association moved into this property in 1919 and by 1935 had moved to 13 Hill Street, W1.
We thank our colleague Alan Patient for these photos.
