This eternal flame commemorates those who have lost their lives in the service of the Metropolitan Police.

This building is the new New Scotland Yard. In our photo the flame can be seen between the tree and the people to the right. The Roll of Honour is a book displayed in the "ovoid entrance pavilion" to the right of our photo.
