Thankful Owen

Non-conformist minister. Born in the City of London. President of St John's College, Oxford 1650-60. Chosen to succeed Thomas Goodwin, when he died in 1680, as pastor of the Independent congregation in Fetter Lane, but he died suddenly at home in Hatton Garden. Buried in Bunhill burial ground.

Never having heard the name Thankful we are surprised to find we have two on our database, the other being Thankfull Sturdee.
